Student Ministries
Youth Director: Jody Caruthers

Ministry to Jr. High and Sr. High students is a vital part of the overall ministry here at Putnam City United Methodist Church. We are aware of the energy and excitement these young people bring to the community of believers. That is why we are creating an environment where Jr. High and Sr. High students can find a place to Learn, Serve and Praise.

”That you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son, Jesus Christ.”

        1 John 1:3 NIV

With God’s help, we will strive to create an atmosphere of love and acceptance that will enhance the “”Church/Life” experience for all students. We will support them as they transition from home to Jr. High, from Jr. High to Sr. High school and from observer to servant. We will create opportunities for each student to Learn, Serve, and Praise through Sunday morning worship, Sunday school, Sunday night gatherings, fellowship, bible studies, ministry projects, and mission experiences. We will be Infectious with Gods Word.

”I tell you, open your eyes, and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.”

        John 4:35 NIV

God's Call:

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In that same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven".

         Matthew 5: 14-16 NIV

Our Answer:

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “”Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “”Here am I. Send me!”

         Isaiah 6:8 NIV

God's Assurance:

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”

         Mark 10:27 NIV

God's Promise:

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

        Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
